The Whorl of Tyrth & the First Fowldyr

The Whorl of Tyrth & the First Fowldyr

Legend has it that Tyrth once had 3 moons...

Eons ago, one of the moons cracked and fell from the sky, carving a giant crater into the landscape. The pale mountains of the impact site were thrown skyward and remain tilted like waves frozen in time. In the wreckage of the impact there was a large mysterious seed. The seed was said to be so heavy that it could not be moved no matter how much force was applied to it, so it was left in the center of the crater where it eventually grew into a massive, otherworldly tree. Ancient Tyrthians called this great spiraling tree the Whorl of Tyrth.

The Whorl of Tyrth has smooth white bark and pale white leaves. It has been growing continuously ever since it arrived in Tyrth and now towers over the nearby mountains. This tree was thought to be a holy entity, and many commoners would make pilgrimages to bask in its magnificent presence. The spiritual energy absorbed by the tree is said to have manifested the very first fowldyr - known as the Artisan.
