Important - Please Read!

DMing Stas

If you would like to make sure your idea would work before submitting it, you are welcome to DM me to check. There are a lot of submissions and a lot of ideas to keep track of so please try to follow these guidelines when reaching out to discuss your idea so that I don't get overwhelmed.

One idea at a time.

Please only reach out to discuss the idea that you are submitting as a custom application. If you have plans for multiple future fowldyr please just select your highest priority idea. Due to the amount of submissions there currently are, I only have the spoons to discuss one fowldyr concept per person.

I am only willing to discuss customs.

Please only DM me about your fowldyr idea if you are pursuing the idea as a custom commission. As much as I do love when people are passionate about the project, I prefer if folks aren't sending me random fowldyr ideas that they don't plan on commissioning as this can be overwhelming.

Please do not ask for an ETA after submitting an application.

I work on custom fowldyr commissions at my own pace. Please remember that I am only one person and there are a lot of submissions, so the wait for a custom may be long. If you have summitted an application, please do not DM me to ask when your custom will be started. Submitting an application does not guarantee that your custom will be accepted.

Please Be Flexible

I will do my best to bring your vision to life! However, the design needs to adhere to the world lore and species lore so please be prepared to explore alternatives if your ideas don't quite fit. My goal is to make you a design you love, but sometimes not all of the ideas submitted will make it into the final design.

There may also be parts of a design that I am simply not comfortable with for one reason or another, so please be willing to explore alternatives if your idea includes details that I am not comfortable drawing.

Adult Characters Only

Most folks have already started to envision what their fowldyr looks like when submitting an application. Please be aware that I only take custom design commissions for adult characters. I do not design child characters.

What's Included?

Custom have a base price of 500 USD and include the following custom artworks. If you would like a payment plan the price can be split into two 250 USD payments.

Vessel Design

Please note that since landscapes are significantly more effort than prop design, location based vessels will be black and white illustrations.

Additional Views

Please note that additional views are provided by Stas in order to make the design easier to understand from angles where it may be obscured. This is usually just used for showing hairstyles from the back, or important clothing details from the back.

What's Extra?

The following requests will increase the price of your custom.

Additional Inventory

A custom fowldyr reference sheet only covers prop design for the vessel (and sometimes the memento). If your fowldyr has another item important to their lore that is not a vessel or memento it will cost extra to include it on the sheet. Limit 1 additional inventory per reference sheet.

Oversized Wings

I prefer that the species has wings on the smaller side, so while it's possible for a fowldyr to have oversized wings this will cost extra to cover the extra time spent on drawing and detailing something with such a large surface area. Smaller wings have no additional charge.

Pose Changes

I tend to draw characters in neutral poses for their reference sheets. Changing the characters pose often involves completely redrawing everything and is a lot more work that folks may realize. If you want the pose of your character changed at some point during the commission process please note that I cannot do this for free.

Additional Outfits

A custom fowldyr reference sheets come with 1 custom outfit. Alternative outfits would be considered a separate commission.

How to Apply

You are welcome to submit a custom application any time! The application form is very simple...

For now I'm just collecting your vessel ideas for the application. This is because certain vessel ideas may need tweaking or may need to be completely changed and I don't want folks to spend a lot of time filling out an entire design form for something that might not work. I will reach out to you if you submit a vessel idea that may need adjustments.

If your application is picked I will reach out to you to start the commission process. You will be sent a second form to provide all of your design ideas!
