Painter's Passion
Artwork and compendium entry by Yamilink
A coveted flower to many artisans, particularly to painters due to using the plant's seeping nectar as paints for their work. The nectar is also mildly sweet like a clover, so bakers love to use this to give their goods color and a hint of a floral taste.
Though they can be domestically grown and raised, they are incredibly difficult to maintain since they thrive in humidity, mid sun, and mineral rich nutrients. In the wild, they latch themselves on rocks or deadwood near waterfalls or close to any water source. When these flowers thrive, they will constantly drip nectar, coloring the waters or surfaces around them like a mosaic.
Around the Autumn season, the blossoms become these little berries that explode out when a strong gust of wind comes by, and the seeds are carried and scattered about. The adult flowers will then go dormant during the colder months. With the right conditions, the seeds will hibernate until Spring where they will begin to grow.
