Harren are widespread in Tyrth and consist of both wild and domesticated breeds. These creatures are a common sight on farms and even make great pets. Long ago these creatures were referred to as hare hens, but over time the name shortened to harrens. The colour of eggs they produce depend on the breed and can be just about any hue and sheen - from metallic black to matte pastels.

Harren come in a variety of plumage colours, and some varieties can only be found in specific regions of Tyrth. Wild harren can only have avian patterns, while domestic harren can have both avian and mammalian fur patterns.
