Mood Mint

This sensitive plant reacts strongly to the emotions surrounding it, causing it to change in both colour and taste. The moment the leaves are picked the colour and taste become permanent, so leaves can be dried and preserved in a wide variety of flavours and hues.

In a natural state, this plant is green with a minty flavour. In the vicinity of anger, it takes on a red appearance and becomes spicy, while sorrow will cause it to turn blue and become sour. Since emotions can be layered and complex, there are many different combinations of flavours and colours that mood mint can become. They say that when subjected to the deepest depths of hopelessness and despair... this plant loses all colour and tastes like nothing at all.
