Lumenite

Lumenite is a precious gemstone with a natural glow. This stone is imbued with magical energy that shines more brightly in the presence of hostile magic. It can warp the air surrounding it making it more difficult for malicious magic to pass through. It’s not a perfect shield though, and with enough force it can be broken. However, those who cannot wield magic themselves find this ability to be life-saving. The stone itself is beautiful, but the protection it offers is priceless.

Legend has it that lumenite was inspiration for the warding spell that fowldyr use to protect themselves. They say that the Artisan was enamoured with the magical properties of lumenite and sought to decode the bands of magic flowing through the stone. The Artisan then reforged that arcane code as the ward spell and gifted it to the fowldyr.
