Tyrth is a medieval fantasy world full of mythical creatures, gods, curses, and magic! This realm is an ongoing worldbuilding project with an active and friendly community, and is the home of my closed species known as fowldyr. Fowldyr are a peryton species that are able to take on a human form and have access to a wide array of magics. You can use this website to learn more about the world and the fowldyr who inhabit it, and you can join the official Discord server to connect with the fowldyr community!
What are fowldyr?
Fowldyr are a closed species that inhabit the realm of Tyrth. Spiritual and emotional energy is abundant in Tyrth, and is known to attach itself to objects and locations where it condenses and grows more powerful over time. When enough energy is collected, a fowldyr is born! Fowldyr are ungulates that usually take the appearance of winged deer, but also have access to a humanoid form that they use to ingrain themselves into Tyrth society. The object that fowldyr awakened from is known as their vessel and effectively houses their soul. They are tethered to these objects, and are effectively immortal as long as the object remains intact. Because of this, a fowldyr can live for thousands of years and become legends in their own right.
Etymology
The name fowldyr is a combination of "fowl" meaning bird and "dyr" meaning beast or deer. They are a mythical creature akin to a peryton, and their appearance embodies two quintessential symbols of nature - the untamed elegance of a deer and the graceful freedom of a bird. Legend has it that these mythical creatures are born when enough energy accumulates within a vessel. The fowldyr that awakens will manifest traits of its vessel into its appearance.
How do I get a fowldyr?
Fowldyr are a closed species - meaning that you cannot design your own without permission from the species creator Stasanie. If you would like to own a fowldyr design, there are a few different avenues of obtaining one.
Custom Fowldyr Commissions
You can have a custom fowldyr designed for you by Stasanie - the species creator. Stasanie only takes custom fowldyr design commission through the official Discord Server. Custom designs are 500 USD.
Adoptables
Pre-made designs are periodically for sale in the Discord Server. Adoptables start at 400 USD.
Free Raffles
Free designs are raffled off annually in the Discord Server!
Guest Artists
Guest Artists are occasionally invited to design fowldyr. The designing process is carefully overseen by Stasanie. The opportunity to be a Guest Artist is by invitation only. Please do not ask to design your own fowldyr.
